"And Adam knew Eve his wife" (Genesis)
Picture

Description

Who was your spouse childhood friend?  Why?  What were they playing as kids?  What are your spouses plans for tomorrow?   When a salesman on the lot calls you by name, or when you call a big company and the person knows the size of your shirt you feel special.  But it's not only about collecting data, it's mostly about developing an emotional intimacy.

Goal

The goal of Knowing is Loving is to develop emotional intimacy through sharing of personal anecdotes and feelings.   When played over the span of the relationship, Knowing is Loving will enhance a couple's relationship's depth, meaning, and growth.

Inspiration

Adams knowing Eve his wife as a euphemism for intimacy resonates through the generations.    Knowing is loving, the Jewish Bible intimates in an unmistaken way.   John Gottman in his book "Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work" and Chapman's "Five Languages of Love" definitely helped us nail it down.
